mpXML's Traceability and COOL Physical Meeting Agenda

On September 16 and 17 mpXML hosted a two day meeting in Chicago, Illinois. Much of the meeting focused on the recent USDA country of origin labeling (COOL) mandate, and the use of existing information systems in meeting the mandate.

Further, the group also reviewed work to date on the Electronic Data Interchange guidance project, and finalized eCommerce business processes for Purchase Order, Purchase Order Acknowledgement, Advance Ship Notice, Invoice and Payment Documents. The group also discussed use of the ASN and Invoice to meet COOL documentation requirements. mpXML will post documents for review when they are available.

The group also reviewed changes to the Product Classification test sheet. The latest version is posted on the Product Classification Workgroup page.
