Who We Are
The membership of mpXML is comprised of companies representing all sectors of the meat and poultry industry, including producers, packers, processors, wholesale distributors, brokers, retailers, purchasers of bulk quantities of meat or poultry, associations, government agencies, and technology and services providers. About mpXML Membership
Membership is open to all meat and poultry industry suppliers, non-supplier companies, government agencies, and incorporated industry associations that provide service in the meat and poultry industry and wish to participate in and support the development of the mpXML standards. The dues of its members fund mpXML. Entities can join and participate as full voting members. Renewable annually, membership dues are set to recover the cost of essential operating expense.
Governed by an unpaid elected board, these representatives from all sectors of the meat and poultry supply chain help guarantee that mpXML's work meets the needs of the entire industry. Participation in mpXML's committees and working groups is open to all member company employees. Each member organization is entitled to one primary and one alternate voting representative. Participation is encouraged in all the various committees, work groups and project teams.

Our Mission and Structure
mpXML's mission is to develop and promote use of open standards for exchanging business information among all segments and entities in the meat and poultry supply and marketing chain. mpXML standards will use common and accessible internet technologies, be platform independent, be non-proprietary and open, and build on previous work relating to EDI messages for the meat and poultry industry.
